Supreme Court Limits H.S. Athlete Recruitment

The United States Supreme Court recently ruled that athletic associations can enforce limits on recruiting high school athletes without violating coaches' free speech rights. In a June 21, 2007 decision, the Court held that voluntary state athletics associations may legally require member public schools to follow rules that are necessary to the effective and efficient management of a state interscholastic athletic league.
