Annual New School Board Member Orientation and Board Chair Workshops

These workshops are specifically designed for both new and veteran school board members. Focus will be on the roles and responsibilities of an effective school board, the Right to Know law, and effective practices for individual board members and school boards, collectively.

NHSBA Regional Workshop – Southwest Region

NHSBA will be a hosting a regional workshop on Wednesday May 17, 2017 at John Stark Regional High School in Weare from 7pm to 9pm. Agenda topics will include school board member roles and responsibilities, the Right to Know law, electronic communications and best practices for new school board members.

This workshop is open to all NHSBA member school boards and administrators. This workshop is scheduled in Weare to reach school boards in the Southwest region. However, all NHSBA member school boards and administrators are welcome.

Cost of this workshop is $45.

Building Effective Board-Superintendent Relationships and Superintendent Evaluations
Concord, NH - 25 Triangle Park Drive - 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
The board-superintendent relationship is a key ingredient that leads to improved results in every facet of school district performance. This workshop will provide information on the essential elements of an effective school board-superintendent relationship. Attendees will also learn about the school board’s role in conducting a fair and effective evaluation of the superintendent.
